Habbo Hotel

Habbo (previously known as Habbo Hotel) is a social networking website aimed at teenagers. The website is owned and operated by Sulake Corporation. The service began in 2000 and has expanded to include 32 online communities (or "hotels"). As of June 2008 over 118 million avatars have been registered. There are an average 8 million unique visitors monthly, and 75,000 avatars are being created every day.

In late May 2009, Habbo opened a new beta version of Habbo for some Habbos to test out before using it officially. In the new version of Habbo, the client uses Flash instead of Shockwave, and the interface of the Hotel is changed.

In January 2010, it was announced that Habbo US and Habbo Canada were undergoing a merger, to be finalized in April 2010. However, in April 2010, it was announced that all English-speaking hotels will be merged as one. On May 5, the merger for Habbo US and Habbo Canada was complete. On June 2, the Australian site merge was completed. The Singapore site was officially merged on June 4. On June 10, the final Hotel was merged Habbo UK and that completed the set, making Habbo.com the only English site.

CISCO Packet Tracer

Packet Tracer is a powerful network simulation program that allows students to experiment with network behavior and ask “what if” questions. As an integral part of the Networking Academy comprehensive learning experience, Packet Tracer provides simulation, visualization, authoring, assessment, and collaboration capabilities and facilitates the teaching and learning of complex technology concepts.

Packet Tracer supplements physical equipment in the classroom by allowing students to create a network with an almost unlimited number of devices, encouraging practice, discovery, and troubleshooting. The simulation-based learning environment helps students develop 21st century skills such as decision making, creative and critical thinking, and problem solving.

Packet Tracer complements the Networking Academy curricula, allowing instructors to easily teach and demonstrate complex technical concepts and networking systems design. With Packet Tracer, instructors can customize individual or multiuser activities, providing hands-on lessons for students that offer value and relevance in their classrooms. Students can build, configure, and troubleshoot networks using virtual equipment and simulated connections, alone or in collaboration with other students. Most importantly, Packet Tracer helps students and instructors create their own virtual “network worlds” for exploration, experimentation, and explanation of networking concepts and technologies. The software is available free of charge to all Networking Academy instructors, students, and alumni.

Ivory Coast 0 Portugal 0: Neither side impressed

We don't know if this was a bad game or if Ivory Coast and Portugal just cancelled each other out. For now we are going with the latter, because that is what we want to think about this game and these two teams, but we had hoped for something a little more exciting.

It really was nothing special and the game really had no significant moments. There was quite a bit of falling over if you went near someone and quite a few empty seats, but nothing with the football that made you want to watch the game again.

Oscar Cardozo isn't going to miss the World Cup

The Paraguay team have dismissed reports that Oscar Cardozo could be out of the World Cup and declared the striker could still make next week's opening match against Italy.

Cardozo scored 36 goals for Benfica last season but has been struggling with an ankle injury and has been training away from the rest of the Paraguay squad and the outlook is positive.

Korea Republic v Greece, World Cup Group B, Match 3

When the fixtures first came out, there were certain games I looked for. Korea Republic against Greece wasn't one of them and that is exactly the reason why it will probably be the best game of the day.

It's usually the games you don't expect to be good that are the ones you should have made time for and if I'm right, this will be the best game of the day while England v USA later will be an anti-climax. I hope I'm wrong by the way.

England v USA betting preview World Cup 2010

The World Cup is here and England get their World Cup campaign underway today, the England v USA odds make England strong favourites to win the game despite USA being no mugs, they beat Spain and went close to beating Brazil in last year’s Confederations Cup, which was held in South Africa, so they have proven form here.

The England World Cup odds have drifted plenty recently, England were 11/2 a couple of months ago but have since drifted out to 8/1 after several mediocre friendly displays, but that doesn’t seem to have dented confidence in the England camp with Fabio Capello’s players sure they can win the World Cup.
